Ear Lobe Closure
As women wear heavy earrings and other ear jewelry, the long standing and frequent pull due to gravity causes the ear lobe to become droopy stretched or sometimes even torn, with advancing age. Sometimes accidental tearing of the earlobe can cause uneven separation of the two sides of the earlobes.
Ear lobe repair or Autoplasty is a simple and commonly performed simple, chairside surgical procedure which can be carried out under local anesthesia. The two disrupted edges of the ear lobes are carefully and aesthetically sutured together using hair thin sutures.
The procedure is carried out with minimalistic pain and creates a permanent closure of the 2 edges and the individual can further go for another piercing on the same earlobe again.
